Your Day

We love to photograph weddings, its great to share one of the happiest days of your lives. We think its important that your wedding photography tells the story of your day, from start to finish. Our photography starts first thing in the morning, and continues right through until the evening at no additonal cost.

Getting Ready

I spend most of the morning with the Bride, taking the time not only to photograph the bridal party preperations, but also taking care to capture all of the special little unique details that are often forgotten, the shoes, the jewellery and most importantly the dress.

This is also a good opportunity to help calm your nerves before your big day.

I would normally recommend arriving at least 2-3hrs before your ceremony.

Pre-Ceremony

After finishing with the bridal party, I will then head across to go find the groom.

After getting some shots of the groom, his bestman and the ushers, this is normally a good time to begin capturing guest arriving and catching up with friends and family.

Once all of your guest are seated, I will remain outside to capture the bride arriving.

Ceremony

During the ceremony we work discreatly to capture all the details your special moments. We do not use flash at all during the ceremony, and follow all guidelines of the marriage officant.

It is important to check for any photography restrictions when you meet with your marriage officant, as these vary from location to location.

Post Ceremony

After capturing your first moments as a husband and wife walking down the aisle, our reportage style of photography really kicks in.

It is at this stage I will hang back and capture images of your friends and family before they head to the reception.

We would normally recommend that you allow 15 minutes for guests to congratulate you and grab their photos before allowing another 15/20 minutes for a more private photoshoot at the ceremony location. This 15/20 minutes gives your guests time to get to the ceremony, and more importantly both of you a little time alone.

Reception

Once at the reception were back in reportage mode, capturing your arrival, your friends and your family. This is also an ideal opportunity for us to grab some shots of your wedding breakfast room and all the little details that you have spent so much time planning.

Next comes the group photo, its a good idea to get this during the reception drinks before your guest start disappearing to the bar. If I can get up high I will, and will try and capture the venue in this image too.

The group shots are next, we try and make this a quick and painless as possible, injecting a little fun into these shots.

Another private photoshoot normally follows, we would recommend allowing 30 minutes here, depending on the location. Again another breather for you both, this gives us the opportunity for some natural intimate shots away from your guests.

Our coverage continues with the speeches either at the beginning or the end of your wedding breakfast.

Evening

After a quick break whilst you all enjoy your wedding breakfast, next stop is your evening, the cutting of the cake, the first dance and all the fun bits that accompany the evening.

We are totally in reportage mode at this point, but are more than happy to do more group shots, how about a sunset shot of just the two of you?

This is also the time for the photobooth to swing into action if this was requested.

If you have anything special happening during the evening, fireworks maybe, or other entertainment, we are more than happy to capture this, we put not time limits on our coverage within reason.
